Mt Zion shares God’s love in various ways in our community. We support The Backpack Program, which discreetly provides nutritious, child-friendly, easy-to-prepare food to chronically hungry children in every day backpacks to take home over the weekends and out-of-school times. We participate in The Closet which provides undergarments, socks etc. to local elementary children arriving at school without these basic essentials. Our outreach programs also include Loaves and Fishes, as well as Grow to Share, in which individuals grow vegetables that are distributed to the community.
Mt. Zion hosts a popular bazaar fundraiser as part of Hedgesville Heritage Days in the autumn. We participate in the Hedgesville Council of Churches on various projects.
Our church helps area families in need within our financial means.
Our door is always open.
